Suno Partners With Believe, TuneCore for Independent Artists
The collaboration offers new distribution and payment models after previous industry disagreements.
Suno announced a global strategic partnership with Believe and TuneCore on Sept. 8, 2026. Believe is a global artist development company, and TuneCore is its platform for self-releasing artists.
This partnership aims to provide independent artists with more avenues to create, reach audiences, and advance their careers. Believe will integrate into new music models Suno is developing with the music industry.
Artists using Suno's new industry partner model will gain eligibility to distribute their tracks through Believe and TuneCore. This creates a direct path from song creation on Suno to global listener access, a feature the community has long requested.
The initiative will also create new product experiences for Believe and TuneCore artists, allowing them to collaborate with fans and receive payment for their work. This builds on Suno's Spark program and complements existing partnerships with Warner Music Group and BMG.
Earlier this year, Believe and TuneCore had stated they would not distribute music from models that did not meet their standards, including Suno's at the time. Suno Co-Founder and CEO Mikey Shulman noted that candid conversations revealed shared values: offering artists meaningful choices and expanding paths to distribution and economic opportunity.
Suno has recently implemented audio watermarking and fingerprinting to identify its songs off-platform and combat fraud. New download limits were also introduced to prevent mass distribution to streaming services, and these protections will apply to music distributed via Believe and TuneCore.
Suno has been strengthening its safeguards, expanding industry partnerships, and learning from artists in preparation for its next generation of models. These new models are set to launch very soon, with Believe, TuneCore, and their global community of independent artists and labels participating.
